At the young age of seven, Abby Feferman, a singer/songwriter/musician from Chicago Illinois, already knew she wanted to be a professional musician. Music has always been an important part of Abby’s life. Growing up, Abby listened to and was inspired by pop and rock music from the 1960’s and 1970’s. Many artists from these genres helped to ignite her passion for music and continue to inspire her to this day.
Abby began writing songs when she was seven years old, and at twelve bought her first guitar and immediately began to figure out how to play the songs she had written on it. Her pop/rock sounding melodies and powerful lyrics are filled with emotion, and undoubtedly catch the ears and hearts of many, as she continues to inspire music listeners around her.
Abby continued to pursue her passion for music throughout high school and college, participating in both private and group guitar lessons, and performing in group performances through these lessons. In addition, she has participated in lessons in music theory. Abby continues to work hard training her voice and has also taken private voice lessons.
In 2008, she realized a long time dream by setting up a recording studio in her home. She spends countless hours writing, practicing, and recording music in her studio that she hopes to share with fans worldwide. She hopes to be able to expand her knowledge of music production and engineering, and feels fortunate that she has been able to work with highly talented musicians and producers in professional recording settings. In 2010, Abby created her first artist website, http://www.abbyfeferman.com, which she built and continues to manage on her own. Soon after, she released her first single, “Inside Out,” on her website, which helped add to her already growing fan base.
Abby Feferman always puts forth an enormous amount of effort and dedication in all that she pursues. She is determined to fulfill her dream of becoming a professional musician, and hopes to gain success in the music business by sharing her passion with music listeners worldwide. Through her music, Abby hopes to inspire others the way she has been inspired. It is unquestionable that she will be able to do so. Abby continues to embrace every experience she is given and incorporates those emotions into her songs. It is easy to see that her music is a part of her. It is her heart and soul.
