At the young age of eight, Abby Feferman, a twenty-four year old singer/songwriter/musician from Chicago Illinois, already knew that she wanted to be a professional musician. Music has always been an important part of Abby’s life. Growing up, Abby listened to and was inspired by pop and rock music from the 1960’s and 1970’s. Many artists from these genres of music helped to ignite within her a passion for music and continue to inspire Abby to this day. Abby Feferman has been creating her own songs for as long as she can remember. When Abby was eight years old she began writing down these songs she had created in her head and began practicing them at every possible moment. When Abby was twelve years old, she bought her first guitar and immediately began figuring out how to play the songs she had written on guitar. She has not stopped playing since! Her pop-folk sounding melodies, mixed with powerful, emotion-filled lyrics undoubtedly catch the ears and hearts of many, and continue to inspire music listeners around her. Abby Feferman exhibits energy mixed with a positive attitude! All it takes is one listen to her soothing, melodic voice, and any music lover will be hooked!
Abby continued to pursue her passion for music throughout high school and college, participating in both private and group guitar lessons as well as lessons in music theory. Abby has performed in eight group performances through the group guitar lessons in which she participated. In addition, Abby continues to work hard training her voice and has participated in private voice lessons. Two years ago, Abby realized a long time dream by beginning to set up a recording studio in her home. In her home studio she has spent countless hours writing, practicing, and recording music that she hopes to share with music fans worldwide.
